Bethany High School is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of one of its students, Shuddhi Mahesh, who has made history by winning the Miss Teen International World 2024 title. At just 14 years old, Shuddhi’s success is not only a personal triumph but also a moment of pride for the school, her family, and the entire country. The finale of the competition, held on 6th October 2024, took place aboard the Margaritaville at Sea Islander cruise, which sailed from Tampa Bay to Mexico over five days. Despite being the youngest contestant in the competition, Shuddhi demonstrated exceptional grace and maturity, standing out among her peers and impressing the judges with her charismatic personality.
Shuddhi’s passion for modelling began at the tender age of six, and her dream of competing on the global stage has now come true. Alongside winning the main title, she secured two prestigious subtitles: Glamorous Fit Mind Body Soul and Glamorous goddess. These accolades reflect her well-rounded capabilities and her commitment to maintaining both mental and physical well-being. Shuddhi also won the Pageant Planet People’s Choice Award, an honour that will see her featured on the Times Square billboard in New York City during this year’s New Year’s Eve celebration, making her the youngest Indian teenage girl to receive this recognition.
What truly sets Shuddhi apart is her optimistic outlook and compassionate nature. Known for being calm, disciplined, and dedicated to her goals, she has always embraced the 3 Ds of life—dedication, determination, and discipline. These principles have guided her through both her academic and modelling journeys, allowing her to excel in both areas. Her respect for time and meticulous time- management have enabled her to balance her studies and extra-curricular passions with ease.
In school, Shuddhi is more than just a pageant winner. She is a computer science student with a keen interest in coding and learning new programmes. Academically, she continues to perform exceptionally well, and her teachers describe her as sharp, quick to grasp concepts, and dedicated to her studies. Beyond her academic and modelling achievements, Shuddhi has also demonstrated excellence in sports. She has won numerous medals in track and field and swimming, and in 2021, she proudly represented her district in track and field events. A strong advocate for physical fitness, Shuddhi practices yoga and ensures she engages in some form of physical activity every day.
In addition to her modelling and academic pursuits, Shuddhi is passionate about dance and acting. She is a trained belly dancer and is currently pursuing training in Bharatanatyam, a classical Indian dance form. Her love for performing arts extends to acting and drama, for which she is also receiving training. Shuddhi is equally talented as a public speaker, known for articulating her ideas and thoughts with clarity and confidence.
Despite her busy schedule, Shuddhi remains grounded, motivated by her desire to make a meaningful impact on society. She dreams of taking the Civil Service examinations and serving her country, a testament to her commitment to public service. Furthermore, Shuddhi has advocated for child education, believing that education is the right of every child and that achieving 100% literacy is crucial for a brighter future.
Through her hard work, competitive spirit, and commitment to excellence, Shuddhi has proven to be a multi-talented individual who excels in every aspect of life. Her journey to becoming Miss Teen International World 2024 is a testament to her determination, her passion for learning, and her ability to balance multiple responsibilities with grace.
